PIERCING PUNCHES - HI-PRECISION PUNCHES INTRODUCES PIERCING PUNCHES THAT ARE RADICALLY USEFUL IN PRESS TOOLS AND MASS PRODUCTION. THESE ARE MADE FROM HIGH QUALITY IMPORTED STEEL AS PER BIS-4296 UNDER STRINGENT QUALITY CONTROL. THE PUNCH HEAD CAN BEAR HEAVY STRESSES ON THE RETURN STROKE. THE CONICAL HEAD IS EXACTLY CONCENTRIC TO THE SHANK AND THAT THE HEAD SECURES WELL IN THE COUNTER SINK OF THE PUNCH PLATE. THESE LONG LASTING PUNCHES HAVE THE COMBINATION OF GOOD SHEARING PROPERTIES WITH TOUGHNESS. PRECISION PIERCING PUNCHES ARE MADE AS STANDARD PRODUCTS FROM THE MATERIALS SUCH AS WPS (SPECIAL 12 PER CENT CHROME ALLOY STEEL), WHICH SUPPLIES WEAR-RESISTANT, BECAUSE OF HIGH CHROME CONTENT AND ARE APT FOR PIERCING MATERIAL WITH A TENSILE STRENGTH OVER 50 KG/MM2. PUNCHES MADE OF HEAVY DUTY HIGH-SPEED STEEL (HSS) EXCEL BY HIGH THERMAL STABILITY DUE TO ITS TUNGSTEN AND MOLYBDENUM CONTENT. PUNCHES FROM THIS MATERIAL ARE SUITABLE FOR USE IN HIGH-SPEED PRESSES. SPECIFICATIONS OF THESE PUNCHES INCLUDE HARDNESS OF SHANK: HRC 61 ±2; HARDNESS OF HEAD: HRC 45 ±6; AND FIT OF SHANK: H6.

EJECTOR PIN - OFFERED BY HI-PRECISION PUNCHES THE EJECTOR PINS ARE MANUFACTURED FROM IMPORTED MATERIALS OF VARIOUS GRADES. THESE ARE MANUFACTURED AS PER DIN-1530 STANDARDS ARE SUITABLE FOR HEATED PRESSURE MOULDS. THE CYLINDRICAL HEAD INSIDE THE EJECTOR TRAVERSE CAN ADAPT ITSELF TO THE EXPANSION OF THE MOULD IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE FOR THE POSSIBLE CENTRE DIFFERENCES IN THE MANTLE OR EJECTOR TRAVERSE. THE CYLINDRICAL HEADS OF EJECTOR PINS ARE ROBUST AND BECAUSE OF THAT WITHSTAND THE STRESSES OCCURRING IN THE MOULD DUE TO THE ALTERNATING PRESSURE AND EJECTION FORCES. PINS MADE OF HOT DIE STEEL HAVING TENSILE STRENGTH OF ABOUT 150 KG/MM2 ARE APPROPRIATE FOR DIE CASTING APPLICATIONS. THEY ARE CAPABLE OF RETAINING THEIR HARDNESS UP TO ABOUT 500-550°C. EJECTOR PINS HAVING GREATER DURABILITY ARE BATH NITRIDED TO A SURFACE HARDNESS OF 950-1,100 HV FOR ABRASION RESISTANCE. THESE EJECTOR PINS FIND APPLICATIONS WHERE THE TEMPERATURE DOES NOT EXCEED 180° ESPECIALLY IN COMPRESSION OR JET MOULDING OF PLASTICS. ALSO, THE HEADS OF THESE EJECTOR PINS WILL WITHSTAND ALL STRESSES, WHICH RESULT DURING MOULDING OF SMALL PARTS. EJECTOR PINS ARE AVAILABLE IN WPS; SPECIAL ALLOY STEELS; AND HOT DIE STEELS. THE HARDNESS OF PINS OF THESE MATERIALS ARE WPS: HRC 62 ±2; SPECIAL ALLOY: HRC 60 ±2; AND HOT DIE STEEL: HRC 67-70 (SURFACE HARDNESS), AND FIT OF SHANK OF ALL THESE PINS IS G6.
